I Do

Mia and Liz putting my veil on. Before the tears started.

Deavin, Brittany, and me at the reception

Nursing school friends

I told Liz that she looked like the cowardly lion from The Wizard of Oz. ;)

Stefanie Dewhurst Photography - I'm very excited to see the rest of the photos!

My love

Lee, Christi, Cayden, Aunt Janice, and Logan

It was such a happy, surreal day. And very hot.

Decorations

The cake table, beautifully decorated! Just without the rose petals that Uncle Bob bought! :(
Oh well, it looked great anyway.

The food table and flower centerpiece by Kathy G. and Co.

Pew markers

Our napkins

Cutting our beautiful wedding cake! The first and third layers were red velvet and the second and fourth layers were white. :)

Guest book table in the foyer of the church. I was so happy with how pretty this table looked! It was a total surprise.

Candy table at the reception. It also looked great! I never saw it like this though! ha

Wedding Week

My cousins' children: Mason (Wendy's), Logan (Christi's), Jackson (Wendy's), and Ashlynn (Amy's). There are more children, but Lord knows where they were at this time.

Aunt Linda, Amy, and Brooke while we were at the rehearsal and dinner

The set up. Nothing like a wedding family reunion with an Alabama tent and blow up swimming pool in the middle of an Alabama July.

Pretty wedding wreaths on my parents' front doors that Aunt Linda made.

I worked Sunday, Monday, Tuesday the week of the wedding. Talk about being anxious. Three 12 hour days in a row leading up to the wedding was driving me crazy. Thankfully I work with a lot of girls in their 20s who completely understand pre-wedding angst, and they loved to talk to me about everything.

Aunt Linda came in to town on Tuesday afternoon, followed by Aunt Janice on Wednesday, Amy, Wendy, and their children on Thursday, David & company on Friday, Matt and Amanda on Friday, and Uncle Bob late Friday evening.

It's hilarious to have my mother, Aunt Linda, and Aunt Janice in the same place for several days together. They're so different and their interactions with one another are hilarious, especially when they haven't seen each other in a while. It was fun, frustrating, and bittersweet all at the same time.

While we were at the rehearsal, my family (mom's side) stayed at my parents' house and ate/hung out.

Fast

It's actually too late for me to intelligently write about anything at all, but I do feel obligated to make a few updates while I am awake.

1. I passed the NCLEX and am a registered nurse.
2. I started my job and love it, though it stresses me out at times.
3. There were a lot of fun parties/showers/teas in May and June that I will post about.
4. Deavin and I are now married! Of course I will post many pictures of this soon.
5. Oh, and we have a mischievous kitten named Ava. I want to kill her much of the time, but she's very cute.
